People seek cosmetic dentistry for a variety of reasons. Some people simply want to look younger, and cosmetic dentistry is like a dental facelift that can ‘reverse’ the natural ageing process of the teeth. Others, have had unattractive teeth all their life and always felt self-conscious of them, rarely smiling and more often hiding their teeth behind their hands. This can often hide a warm side of their personality.
Today, cosmetic dentistry is more popular than ever. From simple procedures such as whitening and shaping the teeth, to closing spaces, replacing old discoloured fillings and restoring gaps. Due to the advancements of dental materials and techniques, dentists now have a wide array of tools at their disposal for improving your smile.
However, before undergoing any dental treatment it is very important to know the risks and benefits of the treatment, and what you can expect during the process. Whatever your treatment needs are, all the options will be discussed in detail by your dentist here at The Dental Spa and we are more than happy to answer all your questions. So please ask !!

To give you a quick overview, I have summarised some of the cosmetic treatments available here at The Dental Spa with before and after treatment Photographs.
Bleaching and Bonding This young lady was very conscious of her front teeth and was very keen on improving her smile. After explaining all her options to her, we decided that she would whiten her teeth first to improve the colour of her teeth and then we placed tooth coloured filling material and built up her top front teeth and replaced the fillings on her bottom teeth with some contouring and shaping. She was absolutely thrilled with the results.
Short Term Orthodontics, Bleaching and Bonding This patient had Short Term Orthodontics cosmetic braces to straighten her top teeth followed by tooth whitening and contouring of her front four teeth with tooth coloured filling material.
Porcelain Veneers This patient was not happy with the gaps in her teeth as well as the colour and shape of her teeth. She opted to have eight porcelain veneers placed on her top teeth following tooth whitening to improve the overall colour of her teeth. She was ever so pleased with the results!
