There are many aspects of day to day life which can be affected by the loss of teeth such as eating, talking and in some cases confidence levels can also suffer.
Although dentures do take some time to get used to, modern day dentures are far more comfortable, lighter and more natural that ever before.
People who have had dentures made in the past may have felt that they have been backwards and forwards to the dentist to have them adjusted and may feel that they never quite fit right.
The dentist then discusses the adjustments with a technician (usually over the telephone) and this is where communication can be lost leaving patients with no – one to turn to.
At the Shrewsbury Dental Spa there is a technician on site who sees people in a clinical but comfortable setting.
Clinical dental technician Ian Taylor is able to see patients directly meaning that he can spend time, listening to requirements, likes, dislikes and concerns of clients.
Together a design is created for new dentures, with a chosen tooth colour and the look of the new teeth. It is often useful to bring along a photograph of the preferred simile and Ian can make minor adjustments until YOU are perfectly happy.
It is at this stage that the complete dentures can be taken away.
Clients can be assured that dentures are made to bespoke specifications and with individual input rather than what the dentists decides is right.
Ian is currently accepting new patients at Shrewsbury Dental Spa.
