I have been a Clinical Hypnotherapist since 2016. My qualifications include a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and a Diploma in Neurolinguistic Programming, which is fully endorsed by The Guild of NLP, I am a Weight Management Specialist in the use of Hypnosis and a Smoking Cessation Specialist. I am a member of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and am registered on The General Hypnotherapy Register. I also hold a Diploma in Mindfulness.
My interest in helping people overcome barriers started as a Teacher of English, which I taught for eleven years. I felt that I had a natural aptitude for helping people get over their fears of examinations and so I began to research NLP and Mindfulness. With this in mind, I decided to change career and studied to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist. It is extremely rewarding helping people overcome their phobias and watching them grow in confidence and self-esteem.
Dental fear is a universal phenomenon, with a large population of the U.K. fearing the dentist or the dental experience. Most people build their fears and these can lead to dental phobias and dental anxiety. Hypnosis is a powerful non-pharmacological tool. It can provide assistance to the patient before and during the procedure.
Hypnosis aims to provide patients with the opportunity to work through their phobias and anxiety whilst in a trance-like state. The hypnotherapist guides the patient into trance and whilst under, works with the patient to overcome their fears.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I love spending time at our family caravan in Wales, where I socialise, read and walk my two much loved, much pampered Lhasa Apso dogs. I love to visit the cinema and my favourite genre of movie is the Marvel/DC collection (I’m a huge fan of Thor!) I love reading fantasy fiction and have read “The Time Traveller’s Wife” seven times – crying at the same points every time!
